How To Get Rid Of Bed Bugs

After a big outburst, their population declined and household owners were able to sleep well again. Check other furniture

Bed bugs are most likely to be found crawling on your bed but you should also check other furniture around your home. Do not forget to look over your nightstands, closets, sofas and couches, etc. If you see them crawling on your other household furniture as well, use the vacuum cleaner in removing them.

Disinfect with rubbing alcohol

Rubbing alcohol is an effective and safe bed bug killer. Once you have poured alcohol over a bed bug, it will instantly die. So what you can do is spray rubbing alcohol on the bed bugs if you see them feasting around. If you find bed bugs eggs, you can also just pour rubbing alcohol over them.

Seal cracks and crevices

Bed bugs will not be able to take over your house if there is no entry point for them. Usually, bed bugs make their entrance through cracks and crevices. Check your house for any possible entrance of bed bugs. Inspect your ceiling and wall for any opening and seal them right away if you find any crack or hole.

Wash your blankets and pillow cases

Those bed bugs and their eggs may be lingering in your dirty blankets and pillow cases. Clean them buy soaking the fabrics in vinegar and water solution. Let the vinegar kill the bacteria for about an hour and then wash the blankets and pillow cases as you normally would. Hang them under the heat of the sun to die.

To prevent bed bugs from climbing into your bed, you should never let your blanket and bed cover touches the floor. You can also rub some mineral oil around the legs of your bed frame.
