How To Get Rid Of Bed Hair
There is nothing more relaxing than getting a good night sleep and waking up with the fresh scent of the morning. But what if you are one of those who constantly get bed hair upon waking up? Seeing your hair in a crazy mess when you face the mirror can easily ruin your mood – which is definitely not a good way to start your day. If you always get tangled and frizzy hair when you get up from the bed, then it might be time to make some changes in your hairstyle and hair routine.
Everybody desires to get up in the morning with straight and tangle-free hair, but it seems quite unachievable, especially if you twist and turn a lot when you are sleeping. So if you are tired of combing your unruly hair to fix your luscious mane, do not worry because there are a lot of easy tweaks and tricks that you can do to solve your problem. Here are some simple tips you can follow to get rid of bed hair.
Comb your hair
This is the most obvious thing that you can do to fix that hair mess. However, note that combing your hair does not mean harshly tugging the tangles. First, get a wide-tooth comb. They are more effective in fixing hair tangles. If you can get one of those rotating wide-tooth combs, then get that one. Simply run the comb from your hair roots to the tips. If the comb encounters tangle, hold your hair in the untangled area and start to brush the hair strands from the tips and work upwards until the tangles have been straightened. Remember not to harshly run the comb on your hair because you might just end up damaging your mane and hurting your scalp as well.
The baby oil can act as lubricant for your hair. Just apply a small amount of baby oil on your hair tips. Note that you should not apply the oil on your scalp to avoid that greasy look. After you have applied the oil, detangle your hair with a wide-tooth comb. Olive oil, almond oil and avocado oil can also be used instead of baby oil.
Go to the shower
Wet hair can be easily managed than dry hair. Just get into the shower and soak your hair. It might be helpful to use warm water. Then, lather some shampoo and wash your hair thoroughly. After you have rinsed the shampoo, use a conditioner. Conditioner helps to smoothen up your hair and the smoother it is, the more manageable it will be. So just apply some conditioner and let it sit for a few minutes then rinse thoroughly. Run a comb through your hair and let it dry.
Use hair gel or mousse
There are some products that you can use to fix that messy hair of yours. These products are the hair gel and hair mousse. Just apply a little amount of the gel or mousse over your hair. Be sure to work from roots to tips. This will make detangling much easier. Brush your hair afterwards.
Aside from gel and mousse, hair shine or hair serum can also improve the way your hair looks.
Brush your hair before you sleep
To avoid getting bed hair, you should make it a habit to brush your hair before you sleep. You can also wear sleeping cap or night cap.
