How To Get Rid Of Tarantulas

These insecticide powders specifically made for different house pests can be bought at hardware or home improvement stores.

You can just sprinkle insecticide powders on cracks, crevices and holes where the tarantulas are most likely to hide at. You can also sprinkle insecticide powders on your house furniture or to the doors of your room in order to create a barrier for invasive tarantulas.

Spray insecticides

Liquid insecticide sprays contain chemicals that are effective in killing spiders. The most common chemicals found in insecticides are Cypermethrin and Bifenthrin that are both designed to poison spiders. Liquid insecticide can easily kill tarantulas when you spray it directly to them or to their webs. However, note that liquid insecticide sprays are only effective in killing grown up tarantulas but it is not as effective with tarantula egg sacs.

Set up spider traps

If you want a more environmentally friendly way of removing tarantulas, you can opt to set up spider traps around your house. You can get sticky spider traps from almost any home improvement shop. You can just set up these traps at places where the tarantulas are most likely to visit. You should just make sure that the spider traps are placed properly and all your family members have been informed about the traps.

The downside of using sticky spider traps is that you have to check it every now and then. Plus, they are not as effective as chemical sprays and powders. Once you have set up the sticky traps, you should constantly check if there is any tarantula that has been caught in order for you to dispose it quickly.

Ask help from professional exterminators

While you might be able to manage a small population of tarantulas, a major infestation is best left in the hands of professional exterminators. If you consistently fail in getting rid of them, you should just ask help from professional exterminators. You will need to pay for their services but you will be guaranteed that those tarantulas will be eliminated. Professional exterminators have the knowledge about different kinds of pests and insects, and they also know the proper ways on how to get rid of them.
